The Club has formed 10 Intercounty soccer teams for the Fall '98 season in the U-16, U-14, and U-12 age groups. The teams listed below are recreational teams (everyone who signs up plays;everyone must play at least one half of each game)and play in the Intercounty Youth Soccer League (IYSL).

The Fall Season
For many of the Cranford players (and parents) this season was the very first time that they had faced players and teams from other towns. While all of the players in the Intercounty League are recreational, the limited number of teams in each age group makes it difficult to balance the teams to ensure competitive play throughout the season.
For the most part, our teams were competitive and the games were close and well fought. However, there were the occasional games where our teams ran into the proverbial juggernauts and suffered the consequences!
Kudos and Thanks
On the plus side, Joyce Grysko's U-12 Girls came in 3rd in their division during the season and reached the semi-finals in Soccerama. Matt Sutton's U-12 Boys captured their flight championship in Soccerama and the U-16 Girls (in their 4th season in Intercounty) came in 2nd in the season and 1st in Soccerama.
Congratulations to these teams and thanks to all of the coaches, parents, and players for a successful fall season.
The Spring '99 Season
Registration for the Spring Intercounty Season will be held on january 7th and january 12th at the Cranford Community from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. All children in grades 5 and above will play in Intercounty and everyone who wished to play will be placed on a team. The cost for the Spring Season is $50.00 per player and returning players should keep their uniforms.
