but first take a look at this...:

A tribute to us
We compiled a little cookbook,
We call it "Puppy Chow",
, Into it we put a lot of work
Using a variety of knowhow
Alitia Henderson was our Editor,
With Jody Reher´s help,
Dorothy Smith tickled the typewriter keys,
And never once did she yelp!
Sharon Kamerer did the proofreading-
Janet Fredenburgh did some, too,
Nacy Trapp did all the pictures-
My- what "doggy" ones she drew!
The layout was done by two great gals
Marsha Morrow and Daniele Connors-
Their talents we appreciate
They deserve some of the honors!
We hope the recipes in this book
Are useful in your kitchen;
They are all great- tried and true,
Guaranteed to cause taste bud twitchin´!
The Puppy Poet

and check this out...:

A military wife
1 1/2 c. patience, 1 lb. courage, 2T. elbow grease, 1 3/4 c. tolerance, Dash of adventure
Marinate frequently with salty tears. Pour off excess fat. Sprinkle ever so lightly with money. Knead dough unbtil payday. Season with international spices. Bake for 20 years or until done. Serve with pride.
To preserve the quality of this recipe, you must add contentment, a little rest, and togetherness. Put it on the back burner and baste it with a lot of good memories.
