Plot -
While on a recovery mission with the mercenary Paladin, Generation X ran afoul of the
Rising Sons, a band of mercenaries working for Noy, the man who stole Adrienne's sword.
While on a speeding train, Jubilee and Paladin are trying to escape the Rising Sons, but
while they make their way to the roof, they meet up with Tough Love, the group's
powerhouse. Tough Love grabs Jubilee and is ready to throw her off the side of the train,
but Paladin interferes, saving her with a stun gun. Meanwhile, Husk, Skin, Synch, and
Chamber are on the run from Jet Black, a cyborg motorcyclist. Jet Black runs Synch and
Skin off the road, but Chamber's bio-blasts forces Jet Black to return to human form.
Synching, Chamber and Synch hit him from both sides, knocking him out of the fight. Back
on the train, Paladin and Jubilee make their way for Noy and the sword, but Spoilsport
surprises them and knocks Paladin out. With a little help from Skin and Synch, Jubilee
punches the girl's lights out. But in the meanwhile, the Paladin has gone off on his own
to get Adrienne's sword. Generation X reconvenes and decides to help him. However, not far
off, Viper, the terroist, learns of Gen X's activities in her home. While Synch and
Skin fight off Nightwind, Husk, Chamber and Jubilee go in for the kill. But the Sign, the
last of the Rising Sons, stands in their way. With his spells, he nearly manages to defeat
them, but Jubilee gets to Noy and the sword. Making their escape, they find Paladin on the
roof of the train with Dragonwing. Jubilee throws the sword away to distract the villain
to save Paladin's life, but the mercenary is thrown off the side of the train. Clinging to
the side, Jubilee has to pull Paladin up before the train goes under the next bridge while
Chamber and Husk defend themselves against Dragonwing. Luckily, Jubilee manages to save
Paladin, and Chamber distracts Dragonwing so that he's the one hit by the bridge. At the
airport back home, the kids and Paladin are met by Emma and Adrienne, and the reader
learns that Adrienne wanted the sword because its the one she used to kill her husband! |
