Well it's about
12 minutes since TFI Friday ended, David and Minnie were on for about the
last ten minutes or so, along with Chris Evans the host, generally chatting,
joking and messing around. It really was funny at times! They had this
ongoing (but rather bad!) joke right through the show about Minnie's name,
and Chris sent his sidekick 'Worthers' out in the rain to track down someone
driving a mini (Mini driver...) to say hello to Minnie Driver!
Anyhow, they
came on, shaking hands with the crowd etc. and sat down. For a few minutes
DD seemed a little more withdrawn from the chat than Minnie, but my guess
is that it was the British humour :-) and Minnie can join in with that!
But soon they were all laughing and joking along. Among Chris's tongue-in-cheek
questiosn were (plus many more):
'You two seem
to get along well, why don't you get together in real life?'
and DD's response
somewhere along the lines of 'What right now, here on the table?!' to whoops
from the crowd! (He did go on to explain he was married!)
Chris E also
seemed to ahve really liked the movie, saying he thought it was the 'best
film of its sort since 'When Harry Met Sally'' which DD and MD agreed with!
Minnie said
it was 'dead funny, dead sad, and...there's someone dead in it' while DD
tried to cover her mouth, reminding her they weren't there to put people
off seeing the film!
They then
got on to the theme of 'operations' and Chris asked what DD's favourite
operation was! DD said that Minnie was such a good actress she'd had a
heart transplant to prepare for the role!
Chris asked
DD what operation he'd like to have and along with shouts from the crowd
he decided on a boob job!
At this point
we went back to Worthers by thr road side who had flagged down a confused
looking Mini driver who turned to the camera and said 'Hello Minnie Driver'
which was a really funny moment (DD even wiped his eye in among his laughter!)
In the end
they all ended up dancing (Worthers returned), particularl DD and Worthers!
And so that
was TFI! I'll try and transcript but it may be pretty hard as it was very
sorta fast and chatty. I don't have any kind of screen capturing but hopefully
somebody will do some soon.
