Election
Notice
On Friday, August 22th, the crew of the U.S.S. StarQuest
again met at the home of Jon Litz.
The meeting started at 6:30 pm and lasted until 10:30pm:
-
We quickly reviewed the status of Starfleet,
Region 2 and the ship.
-
That the new administration has caught up with everything
(except Dave)
-
How Region 2 is trying to stir up some spirit for the next
convention.
-
That the ship will remain with Starfleet as one of the oldest
ships in Region 2!
-
We discussed the upcoming Shatner convention.
-
Bill, Jane, Alan, Jon, Tasha, and Jeff are definitely going
for the whole weekend
-
We will be staying overnight at the Budget Host after spending
Saturday at BG.
-
Jon will place our ticket order this week
-
Bill Litz and Terry Christian will drive up Sunday to join
us
-
We will all see Shatner on Sunday.
-
Note: Jon will be asking Mr. Shatner the combination of the
safe in episode 46
-
We also reviewed our potential Region
2 involvement in the next VULKON.

Jon urged all of us to be there!

New news concentrated on future meeting
places and promotion

We discussed meeting regularity, and each took a dose of
Malox

We discussed meeting regularly at regular rotating public
places
-
eg: public1(food), public2(bowl), public3(food), private
home...

We discussed promoting the meetings in the local media, radio,
NDN, TV?

We discussed T-shirts to help promote while we are at the
public sites.

We briefly discussed the upcoming election

It will be next Friday 8/29, at Dave's
house.
Afterwards, those who stayed, played around a bit with each
other...

We played 2 rounds of the Star Trek video game (winning both!)
The next meeting of the U.S.S. StarQuest will
be held at 8/29/97 at Dave's house, 6-?
Elections for CO and XO will be held this week!
Only Starfleet members may nominate or vote, so join quick!
Bring your ideas, your stories, your opinions, your
articles, your concerns, your trivia, your teeth, your friends.
This ends my year as CO of the U.S.S. StarQuest,
so an election is due...
Since I was "appointed" CO by Starfleet last August/September,
it is good that we will "vote" for our CO and XO
for the first time in over 3 years!
