The computers that started the Apple II line; the Apple II debuted in April 1977, and the II+ in 1979. They were sold with 1 MHz 6502 processors and anywhere from 4-48K of RAM.
Released in January 1983, the IIe ('e' for enhanced) became the mainstay of the Apple II line.
The IIc (1984) and IIc+ (1988) are 'luggable' versions of an Enhanced IIe, with many built-in 'cards'.
