Temples of Shikarpur

It is said that there were temples in each and every street of Shikarpur city. Dr.Anwar Figar Hakro ( historian of Shikarpur) told me that there were atleast 500 hundreds. some are saying that there were three hundreds temples were erected there in the city. Splendid writer and historian Lok Ram Dodeja has remembered some below:(book: Wisaryo Na Wisran-Muhinjo Watan, Muhinja Manhoon)

1. Khat wari Dharm shala 2. Samadhi of Bhai Chain Rai lun (Sami) 3. Sadhun Jo Mandar, Balak Ram jee Marhi, 4. Shankar Bharti Ashram 5. Singhan Wari Dharam Shala 6. Shree Pooj Udaseen Samdha Ashram 7. Parmanad Bhandar 8. Jugal Pyari Thaan 9. Masand Darbaar 10. Dawarka Naath Jee Marhi 11. Jamna Das Jee Marhi 12. Mai Ram Pyari. Various have not been jotted in detail by Lok Ram, and images are not printed in the book. Now it is, therefore, difficult to recognize the real temple these days. Some temples are occupied by Mulism. Some are just like lonely ruins and some have been dreams, which may be in the history of eyes. Whatever may call it, but infact it is aftermath of partition. Some images are given below.
