After defeating Pryce, you're ready to go on to your next destination, the Ice Path which connects Mahogany Town to Blackthorn City! The sliding through the gym should've served as practice for when you get on the Ice Path, so now let's go to it! However, you'll notice that as soon as you step out of the gym you'll receive a phone call. Aparently, there's some problems with the Goldenrod Radio Tower, so you'll have to Fly over there to sort it out.

Once you're in Goldenrod again, you'll notice that apparently Team Rocket has taken over the city. Go to the Radio Tower to give them a comeuppance. However, you'll notice that the man atop the radio tower isn't the director of the tower being held for ransom, but instead is an impostor Team Rocket member! After beating him, take his key and go down to the underground to find a complicated puzzle of switches.

When you get through it, go through a door which will end up taking you to the basement of the department store. Your mission now is basically to find the director and save him!
With that done, the director should give you a bell or a wing. Depending on the game you're playing (Pokémon Gold, Silver or Crystal) You'll have to go to capture the legendary on the box cover. (This means go to the Whirl Islands to get Lugia in Pokémon Silver, otherwise, in Pokémon Gold and Crystal, you'll have to go to the Tin Tower to capture Ho-oh at the top, or Suicune at the bottom.)

With a legendary pokémon on your side, you may now venture forth to the Ice Path! 

The Ice Path has many items lying around it. To be able to get them all, you should make sure you have enough space in your pack. After going through the Ice Path, it's Blackthorn City, my friend!
