Blackthorn's
Visitors
Blackthorn City is highly frequented by tourists. Being the main
entrance to the ice path, many Hikers and Skiers (among others) come
to visit.
Since this town is a quiet mountain retreat, people looking for a
little peace and quiet also come.

Dragon's
Den
|

Dragon’s den, in the north of the city, is mainly inhabited by
dragon-type pokémon. In the year 2000, trainers that wanted to fight
the gym leader, first had to solve a mystery in here. By 2001,
however, with the mystery solved, what trainers had to do here was
obtain the approval of the den master. Then (if they’d beat Clair)
they’d receive the gym badge. |
Pokémon
Gym
| The Blackthorn Gym Leader, Clair,
uses dragon-type pokémon just like everyone else in this town. Her
gym is filled with lava. To reach her, the trainer has to make bridges
with Strength boulders over the boiling lava.
By 2001, she had become so arrogant and stubborn, that even after
trainers defeated her, she would refuse to give them her badge. She
would pose them another challenge by telling them to seek the approval
of the master in Dragon’s Den as a trainer. |
