Johto Trainer Notes 1
Here are some notes from a trainer that might prove useful to travelers:

_ Once you get the HM Fly from Chuck's Wife, teach it to a pokémon and Fly over the sea, back to the Olivine Lighthouse to deliver the medicine from the Cianwood Pharmacy to Jasmine so that she can heal the Lighthouse Beacon. After that, she will return to her Gym and will be available for battle. Once you earn her badge, go back to Ecruteak City and walk to the eastern exit. Now you're ready to go to the next town. However, here you'll find that you have two options you can go through the cave and risk getting lost in it, or you can simply surf across the lake where you'll find some apricorns and get less experience for your pokémon. Either way, You'll get to Mahogany Town. There, you'll discover that something is brewing, but by talking to the people you'll notice that they'll basically tell you to head north to Lake of Range where something fishy is going on. All the Magikarp in Lake of Range are being forced to evolve by some mysterious radio signals! The lake, which once teamed with inoffensive Magikarp, is now filled with Gyarados! Great news for pokémon trainers, but all the fishermen are now seriously at risk! And strangest of all, there's a red gyarados in the middle of the lake! You will have to either defeat it or capture it before being able to continue. Then you'll find Lance, a trainer who will ask you to come with him back to Mahogany Town. Return there and go to what used to be a really weird shop. Enter and go down the stairs to find Team Rocket's Hideout. Once you beat all the rockets and deactivate their nefrarious device by defeating the Voltorbs that power it, you are free to continue on your pokémon quest. You'll notice that now the door to the gym is no longer blocked and that the guy that before wouldn't let you go past a certain place is gone. Enter the gym and fight the gym leader, Pryce! _ |
