  • Phi Kappa is the oldest, exclusively Southern high school fraternity in the United States.

  • Founded 1900 at Southern University, Prep School in Greensboro, Alabama (titular founder Jacob Broughton Nelson), and incorporated on August 3, 1943 in the State of Delaware.
     

  • Publications: Herald, Nelson Dream, The Key, The Scimitar

  • Colors: Purple and White

  • Flower: Camellia

  • Jewel: Amethyst
     

  • Today over 10,000 high school aged men have been initiated into our ranks through over 50 chapters in eight Southern states.

  • Our members strive to uphold our four founding principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, Community Service, and Faith in God.

  • To be forever loyal to my Fraternity and my Chapter.

  • To uphold our founding principles: brotherhood, faith in God, scholarship and community service.

  • To positively represent Phi Kappa at all times. To utilize my talents for the good of Phi Kappa and myself.

  • To be a loyal citizen and a gentleman, displaying manners, proper upbringing, and respect for my fellow man.

  • To enjoy the benefits of membership in this Fraternity.
