Quick Facts

Phi Kappa is the oldest, exclusively Southern high school fraternity in the United States.

Phi Kappa was founded February 3, 1900 in Greensboro, AL by Jacob Broughton Nelson. 

 

Our members strive to uphold our four founding principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, Community Service, and Faith in God. 

 

Today over 10,000 high school aged men have been initiated into our ranks.

  • 300 members in 9 active chapters

  • Over 10,000 initiates since founding

  • 50 chapters charted in eight southern states
