Determining program pathname

Throughout this document, we refer to the directory for your application as the product_bin. The product_bin refers to the program directory where your application resides.

The program directory is defined as either /usr/aw/product/bin or product_variable/bin. The italicized words in these pathnames, product and product_variable, are variables. You substitute explicit product information for these variables (figures 1 and 2).

Figure 1 Determining explicit directory pathname

Figure 2 Determining environment variable pathname

For example, if you are using the Advanced Visualizer 4.2, the explicit directory pathname is /usr/aw/TAV4.2/bin and the environment variable pathname is $WF_AV_DIR/bin.

If you are using Composer 4.0, the explicit directory pathname is /usr/aw/TVC4.0/bin and the environment variable pathname is $WF_VC_DIR/bin.

If you have multiple Alias|Wavefront applications installed, you can use either the application product name or an environment variable.
