Exiting VizPaint2D

When you are finished using VizPaint2D, save your work and exit the program.

To save a canvas:

  1. Click picture in the main menu.
  2. Click picture(TM)save.

    VizPaint2D displays a list of open canvases and a swatch that represents each.

  3. To save a canvas, click its filename in the list or click its swatch.

    If this is a new canvas, the default filename is from your .imfrc file.

  4. Click ok.

    VizPaint2D displays the save tool and a highlighted swatch of your finished canvas.

  5. Do you want to save your canvas in a different directory?

    If so, select the entire pathname by clicking and dragging over the text in the area text box, then type a new pathname.

  6. Do you want to save your canvas under a different name?

    If so, select the canvas name by clicking and dragging over the text in the save as text box, then type a name for the canvas.

  7. Press the ENTER key.
  8. Do you want to save your canvas in a different file format than the one shown?

    If so, click the name of the new format.

  9. Click ok.

    The canvas is saved using the name and format you specified.

To exit VizPaint2D:

  1. Click Exit in the menu bar.
  2. If you have modified any canvases, VizPaint2D reminds you that you may want to save them before exiting.

    Tip: Modified canvases have a red title bar.

  3. At the prompt "Exit VizPaint2D?" click ok.

    VizPaint2D returns you to the operating system.
