Balboa Peninsula

After the initial try-out of the kite and the rig, I went to Balboa Peninsula for some high-altitude photos. The kite flew well and I walked with it for about a mile along the beach.

Another view of the pier. As a composition, this works actually better than the straight, centered shot that I originally intended.

On the same flight, a view into the windward direction. You can see the kite line leading down to me.

The Newport Pier is at the far end of the beach.
