The Journal of a Public Bus Passenger

The joys, surprises, shocks, frustrations, tribulations as well as interaction physiques

Why do these pains occur?

The bodily aches & pains arise from 3 aspects:

  1. Situational circumstances: the entire arrangement, ordering, environment set-up, development and evolution; that are often labeled by the lump-sum chance, luck & fortune
  2. Internal physiology: the current state of the body system allows or filters such feelings into the nervous system; In general, the body current state is affected by infinite combinations of the historical states (past bodily states), current body attributes & their complex interactions; the feelings can be classified as: notice signs, warning signs & danger signs in chronological order of severity & urgency
  3. Focal accumulation: the tendency of concentrating attention onto certain feeling, termed "itchiness" - the potential gradient formed towards the centre of attraction that is the focus of attention; e.g. an ache of the neck is first felt that becomes the reference focal point, then a focal potential gradient is set-up by the body that is driven by the brain; the effect of this is increasing concentration (whether conscious or sub-conscious) on the neck ache; that enables it to tighten its muscular grip & escalates into neck pain

The situational circumstances are the release factors of pains

The internal physiology states are the enabling factors of pains

The focal accumulations are the escalating factors of pains

An effective technique to first relieve the pains & then to eliminate & permanently prevent these pains must address these groups of causation factors of pains

In what do U face up to them?

Using a two-throng approach as follows:

  1. Managing the release & enabling factors: through scientific methodologies
  2. Reversal escalation: through subtle attenuation of the escalating factors

Some useful techniques can be inferred from the analysis, while others need to be realised through cultivated approach & enlightened experimentation

I have managed to realise the following useful techniques:

  • Stable equilibrium: for looking, look randomly at a few distributed sites; feeling the tendency at each site to move your sight; the common focal point(s) of all sight potential gradient is(are) the equilibrium point(s) of looking where we can lay our eyes comfortably without resultant instability, ceteris paribus
  • Balancing inside the moving vehicle: practice base isolation at the ankles to cut off the transmitted acceleration from the vibrating vehicle into our bodies; performed by having soft, flexible, self-dislocating ankles & soles of feet
  • Groin serenity: calm & relaxed groin, PC muscles, anus, bladder & pelvic region that have the physiological equivalent of letting go
  • Walking: using the knees as shock absorbers & the ankles as dampers: overdamped - too slow, like ape; under-damped - too bouncy, like jingle bell; critically damped - both knees & ankles oscillate for one cycle only for sufficient damping
  • Deep speaking: nasal speech & regurgitating abdomen
  • Infinite sighting: focus eyesight at the stable equilibrium region beyond it … having a far-away look, as if looking through the equilibrium into infinity
