Joey Brown’s poetry and prose have appeared in numerous journals including Clare, Rhino, The Dos Passos Review, Westview, Paper Street, and The Florida Review. All of her work deals with place and how place shapes people. She teaches writing at Missouri Southern State University. Jamey Genna is a teacher in the east bay area of California. She graduated from the masters in writing program at the University of San Francisco where she is also a major projects advisor. Her work has appeared in many fine literary magazines including Pinyon, Shade, and Georgetown Review. Her collection of short stories Nobody Has to Die for It to Tell You Something is a finalist for the Black Lawrence Press Ontario Prize.

Barbara de la Cuesta has recently won the Gival Prize and will have her novel The Spanish Teacher published by Gival Press. She has published a long poem, If There Weren’t So Many of Them, BirchBrook Press, Delhi, N.Y. 1990; and Westerly, Professional Publishing Co., Dallas, TX, 1994, a work of non-fiction in the field of arts therapy; as well as stories in the California Quarterly and the Texas Review. She has received a fiction fellowship from the New Jersey Arts Council, a Geraldine Dodge fellowship to the Virginia Center; and a fellowship in fiction from the Massachusetts Artists’ Foundation. | ||||
