Girls keep getting attacked by a monster outside a shrine and being pulled into an alternate dimension. The shrine is the Hikawa Shrine, where Rei is a priestess. Usagi defends Rei from a mob of angry people who think it's Rei's fault. However, the two still don't get along amazingly well, even after it turns out that Rei is the third Sailor Guardian, and, as Sailor Mars, she almost single-handedly kills the monster that was kidnapping the girls.

- In a quiz show that Luna has set up in the meeting room at Karaoke Crown (a really bizarre yet really funny scene), Ami answers correctly that the Sailor Guardians' mission is not just to fight off evil, but also to find and protect the Princess, find the Silver Crystal and find the other Guardians
- Ami doesn't want to eat lunch with Usagi and her friends, suggesting that she and Usagi shouldn't appear to be too close or people could figure out that they're the Sailor Guardians (Hmm...)
- Ami uses her cellphone to disguise herself for the first time
- Rei transforms into Sailor Mars for thee first time
- Usagi says that Tuxedo Mask must be an ally, because he saved her in battle (as much as I love Usagi, her logic skills aren't the best)
- Rei makes it clear that she doesn't want to be friends with the other Guardians or be part of their team
