Sailor Venus and Mars are still arguing. Sailor Venus says that with Mars as she is now they won't defeat the enemy. Mars retorts that Venus should have fought better. She thought they were the Princess's protectors, not her baby sitters. Later, Minako admits to Artemis that she made a mistake earlier because she wasn't supposed to reveal her identity. She also notes she really annoyed Mars. Then she places her hand to her head and everything goes blurry.

Jadeite has a new plan to collect energy and Nephrite says he has found the Princess and she has the Crystal. Queen Beryl tells them to work together. Kunzite insults the other two in a way that also obliquely insults Beryl. She gets irritated and tells him to watch his mouth.

Usagi can't work on the muffler because Mamoru has a girlfriend. Makoto encourages her not to give up and says she'll gather information on how serious he is about the other girl. Later, Makoto asks Motoki about Mamoru's girlfriend, and is shocked to discover that she is actually Mamoru's fiancee.

Rei goes back to the Church with food for the dig. Minako sees her and goes and buys some expensive food to outdo Rei. Rei suggests she'll make a poster about the dog; the priest agrees. As they leave, Rei asks Minako why she won't work with them and tells her not to just come and go on a whim.

That night, Hina persuades Mamoru to go to mass with her in the morning. She wants to show him the church as a place to get married. Usagi works on her muffler while trying to figure out why she likes Mamoru.

Minako paints a poster about the dog while she and Artemis try to work out why the priest was attacked. She looks at the word "Mass" and realises. The next morning she finds Rei putting up her posters and points it out to her. Luna calls the others.

Makoto tries to figure out how to tell Usagi that Mamoru in engaged.

During the Mass the monster comes out of the priest and steals the congregation's energy. Mamoru manages to flee with Hina but the monster catches them and steals their energy just as Sailor Moon, Mars, Mercury and Jupiter arrive. They attack the monster but Jadeite and Nephrite appear and a fight ensues. It isn't going well but Sailor Venus appears and lures the monster away. Sailor Mars tells the others to take care of Jadeite and Nephrite, then goes after her. Venus and Mars defeat the monster. The others don't fare so well, but by combining their powers they force them to retreat.

Venus and Mars argue again. Mars says it's her job to protect the Princess. Venus says no and orders her not to leave Sailor Moon's side in future. Meanwhile, Sailor Moon gives energy to those who had it stolen. Later on, the dog's owners come and claim it. Rei watches the dog go and wonders why the Princess seems to be acting like a decoy.

Minako and Artemis are moving again. Minako says she doesn't think it will be much longer and that she looks forward to Mars' reaction Artemis tells her its not because of her mission that she can't make friends but so that no one will be saddened. She looks down and says, "About half a year left."

Usagi nearly finishes the muffler.

Meanwhile, Queen Metaria starts to awaken...

Important Events:
- Makoto discovers that Mamoru and Hina are engaged.
- Minako and Rei don't become any friendlier towards one another. However, Minako tells Rei that she shouldn't protect the Princess; instead she should stay at Sailor Moon's side at all times. Rei begins to wonder why Minako is acting like a decoy.
- Minako appears to have some sort of health condition, which causes her to periodically have pains in her head and blackouts. Artemis reminds her that she shouldn't become too close to the others, because they might be saddened: She only has six months remaining (until...)
- The five Sailor Guardians pose together for the first time! It's not really important to the plot, but it's kinda cool...
- Usagi nearly finishes the scarf she's been making. All that's really left is the fringe at the ends.
- It's not clear precisely what's going on with Queen Metaria. Although her awakening seems to have been initiated in Act 16, it's clear from the visual effects that it's now really begun in earnest.
