| I found these interesting because of the rarity and age of these models. In addition, these were our first craft to explore the planets in the '60s. Mariner 4 was the first to fly by Mars and Mariner 5 flew by Venus. Mariners 6 and 7 flew by Mars and returned pictures. Mariner 9 was the first to orbit the planet Mars and returned pictures of the surface. |
