Express your thoughts and feelings
My love for thee
Submited By Joseph
If I were alone
Submited by Blue Topaz
and allow the rest of us to admire your talent
When summers end shall come once more to thee,
Our binding love shall be ever stronger,
So then my love shall never thing to flee,
And then our love will be even stronger,
When suitors come to woo thy heart divine,
I trust thy wilts not give him once a though,
As is the world to Jove, you must be mine,
For our beautiful love cannot be bought;
But when this long day shall confront both us,
I shall give my devoted heart to thee,
And do what thou have me to proove my trust,
So then my love can be proven and free,
Then shall we join together and be wed,
And love each until we doth both be dead.
If I were alone, if I could really be me,
What kind of person would I be?
I would eat all my meals off paper plates,
Who needs dirty dishes for heavens sakes!
I would sing alone at the top of my voice,
only the birds would hear because they have no choice!
I would watch the sunsets all alone and happily sigh
knowing no one can bother me as the world passes by.
Would I shave my legs? No! Not me!
Because no one in the world could see.
The hair in my arm pits would grow inches long
with no one around to tell me that's wrong.
No bras would I wear, in the summer no shirts!
Who cares what's on my bottom, be it old sweats or skirts!
In the summer I'd bathe in a cool sparkling stream
In the winter I'd lounge in my bathtub of dreams.
My feet would be bare in the warm summer heat
and come winter, warm wool I would wrap round my feet.
No tennies, no high heels, no boots on my floors,
the very thought of shoes on my feet I abhor!
My hair would grow long, nearly reaching the floor,
I'd say "The heck with style!" There will be scissors
no more!
At night as my gaze reach's out at the stars,
as little critters scurry in the bushes afar,
the crickets will sing me a lullaby
and I will fall into sleep with a contented sigh.
When I awoke I realized this could never be
for this is the dream of a person that can never be
free.
As I hurriedly shower, shave my legs, check the hour,
gulp down some coffee and bask in the power
of dreams such as these that carry me along,
that makes life worth living, that gives my heart song.
I rush off to work to make my hourly wage
wondering how I ever found the time to write this whole
page.
