EZBoard Crashes!
EZboard, the hosting site of Hogwarts, suffered its largest site crash in its history. The internet forum giant was hacked and destroyed. Almost every thread (roleplay) was lost during the crash, and many RPers had to start from scratch. Sadly, many of the older posts that were being saved for sentimental reasons were losr as well. However, Hogwarts, A History was able to reprint a few of them before the crash occurred...if you look hard enough, that is. 
The Returns
The end of the 1952-1953 term was full of returns from famous (and infamous) former professors.
Professor Samanus McStingy (ex-Gryffindor House Head and COMC/Transfiguration Professor) returned as did his wife Catalina Merino deVidal (ex-Headmistress, Gryffindor House Head, and Arithmancy professor). It wasn't long before albino dark wizard Cyrillian Darkmoon (ex-Hufflepuff House Head and DADA professor) returned. Also, a surprising return took the form of one Taela MacAffey (ex-Hufflepuff House Head and Muggle Studies professor).
They all decided to stay for the following term in hopes of reviving their never-forgotten characters.
