Released November 20th., 2005.

It is official, the Great CHMR DJ's Christmas Carol Sing will be held on Monday, December 12th., 2005. The show will broadcast live, 7 - 9 pm, which means that Cosmic Debris will be replaced, that night only. We also have a Prize to give away! Anyone who calls in to make a request will be entered to win a pair of tickets to a St. Johns Fog Devils home game, at Mile One Stadium. Drawing will take place live on air, just before we sing the last song of the evening.

I am still working on this years seasonal programming. So far, Parsons & Sons will be presenting a Show to be announced later. Fred's will be hosting a Top Ten show, but that is still in discussions... so stay tuned for that one. There are a couple of others in the works, but the big news is that for the Fourth Year, A Down Home Christmas will be on the air.

Sponsored by Down Home Magazine the show features the "Stories and Sounds of Home for the Holidays". This years edition will be produced by yours truely, and hosted by MusicNL Media Person of the Year, Kevin Kelly! It will broadcast starting at 6:00 pm, Christmas Eve, and will be part of our seasonal rotation up until Boxing day, so check it out!

In other News, Lori Cooper has an album coming out in December! The Queen of St. Johns Blues will release "No Mustang Sally" on December 3rd., and I for one, can't wait! Lori is a fixture in the local blues scene, and this album is long overdue! Check out The Lori Cooper Band "No Mustang Sally" CD... it's sure to be a dandy!

Speaking of new CD's... I got wind a few days ago that Rasa have a Christmas CD coming out soon. "Do You Hear What I Hear" will be a collection of seasonal favorites presented as only Erin and Sandy can! Some may remember their hauntingly beautiful version of Coventy Carol from last years Down Homer Christmas. If that song is any indication of what to expect, then I, for one, am looking forward to hearing this album.

Randal Arsenault (AKA Dr. Zoo) is still working on his concept album, which he hopes to release early next year. The whole thing is on hold for the moment, as Randal has returned to South Africa to complete his Doctorate in Zoology.

The Music Industry Association (MIA) of Newfoundland and Labrador has changed it's name. It is now known as Music Newfoundland and Labrador or MusicNL. With that in mind...

In on Air News;

The CD Giveaway on the Hangover Cure has become a popular promotion! All the Chris deBurgh CD's have been won for the Month of November (So Far) and I am already working on a CD Giveaway for December! I am thinking it should be a Seasonal CD... But I'll pretty much take what I can get.

With the Holiday Season fast approaching, I have been thinking about what to do for my shows this year. "The Cosmic Christmas" that I did last year was well recieved, so maybe I will just revamp and update that. A Christmas Hangover Cure is pretty much a given, as is the Blind Lemon Christmas!

The Best of The Songwriters Roadtrip will be broadcast on December 25th., and will be co-hosted by myself and my good friend Craig Hilliard. Ths show will feature some of the highlights of the trip to the Ottawa Bluesfest, and sum up the series of shows.

It promises to be a busy month leading up to the holidays... so keep the faith, and keep it tuned to CHMR!
