Released September 26th., 2005.

Not much news this month. Due to illness, most of my shows for the past three weeks have been pre-recorded. This means alot of repeat programs, although in the case of the Songwriters, they were all pre-mixed shows anyway. So Far, they have been on schedule.

On Sunday, Sept 4th we featured the first of the "Road Trip" series, featuring an interview with Paul Sanderson of Blue Room. This Toronto based blues band have been turning heads in hog town for over a decade. Their latest album, "Everything but the Blues" is a sure fired winner!

Then on Sunday, Sept 11th, my guest was Justin Ruttlidge, another Toronto Based artist, this young singer/songwriter just released his first album, "No Never Alone". His talent and style make Justin one of the cities more exciting young musicians, and definately a name to look out for!

Next, on Sunday, Sept 18th my guest's were Guenther Kapelle and Tony "Wild T" Springer of Wild T & The Spirit. This was a real treat for me to sit and talk some music with an artist that I have always admired! One of my all time favorite guitar Blues songs if "Midnight Blues", which Tony wrote, although he joked "I don't know what drugs I was on when I wrote it." They don't call Tony "Wild T" for nothing! He is a man with a wicked wit, and one of the most tallented guitarist's ever to take the stage!

Rounding out the month, on Sunday, Sept 25th my guest was Brian McPhillips, of the Capital B Blues Band. This show almost didn't make it to air. It had to be produced at a time when I was feeling very ill, and also extremely busy with the bus company. Thankfully, I got it done, and on air in time!

The Songwriters "Road Trip" continues in October, featuring interviews recorded during our visit to the Ottawa Bluesfest! On Sunday, Oct 2nd it's Dean and Jake of Mud Boys, then on Sunday, Oct 9th it's Magic Slim & John Primer, then on Sunday, Oct 16th, Ruthie Foster is my guest, and on Sunday, Oct 23rd Kent "Omar" Dykes of Omar & the Howlers, followed on Sunday, Oct 30th by members of the Harlem Gospel Choir.

Many of the above mentioned artists have CD's available. If you would like to pick up a copy of any of these CD's, (In person or online), just visit Fred's Records. They have the best selection of local music you're likely to find, along with all your favorites!

In on Air News;

Like I said, I have been missing alot of shows lately, although, with luck, I should be back on the air live soon. In the meantime, my show's will continue with selected repeat's, as need's arrise.

In October, I will be giving away copies of Geoff Gibbons CD "Sentimental Maniac" on the Hangover Cure. I have 5 copies to give away, each one personally signed by Geoff himself! Be listening to The Hangover Cure in October for your chance to win!

Otherwise... Keep the Faith!
