Charlotte was the first Witch in the Warren family. She practised the Craft with a small coven in sixteenth century, New England. Though not a natural-born Witchm her unborn child was destined to be great weilding great powers. This was why an evil Witch captured her. Luckily, the Charmed Ones saved her and even helped deliver the child.
Melinda was the first natural-born Witch in the Warren famil;y. It was she who gave the Charmed Ones their destiny and began the great Book of Shadows which every generation after contributed to. Melinda was burned at the stake for being a Witch. She went peacefully so that her young child could live.
Prudence was the daughter of Melinda. After her mother's death she was probably taken in by a member of Charlotte's coven, likely sparking her interest in the Craft.
Brianna is famous in the Book of Shadows for having used her great power to defeat Gabriel, the Lord of War.
Three cousins lived in the Manor in the 1920s. They were the past lives of the Charmed Ones. P. Bowen (past Prue) was a reknowned photographer. P. Baxter (past Piper) owned a saloon in the Manor. She was the only one to have children. P. Russel (past Phoebe) was unemployed but made love potions, etc for people. She was manipulated by a Warlock and turned against her cousins. They had no choice but to take her life.

Penny always knew she would deliver the Charmed Ones - once removed, of course. She raised the girls after the death of their mother, her daughter, Patricia. She was arguably the most powerful Witch of her time and had an affinity with writing spells and mixing potions. She didn't have much luck with men and was married six times and was gifted with one child.
Patty was Penny's only daughter. After giving birth to the Charmed One, she was killed by the Water Demon. She never got close to young Phoebe and was delighted when she got the chance to see them as young women when they travelled from the future. She now lives on, in them.
