Piper and Leo both worry about the baby's safety and while Leo turns their bedroom closet into a nursery, Piper is scared that she will follow her mother's path and die in the line of duty. After a battle with the Demon, Necron, Piper is wounded. Her unborn baby Heals her from the womb. "I guess she takes after her Daddy." - Piper "A Witch's Tail, Part II" |

Piper has new worries. She doesn't understand the being growing inside her and needs help. In a heated conversation with Leo about summoning her Grams' spirit to see her, she taps into her baby's Powers and does it herself - corporeal to boot. The pacifist baby begins to influence Piper's Powers, creating flowers and fireworks instead of blowing Demons up. Leo is busy all over the world with his charges and, with her growing pregnancy syptoms (ie. burping Orbs) Piper feels he doesn't have enough time for her. In an arguement between the two, the baby switches their Powers. Leo must take on the role of the mother and Piper: the Whitelighter. They soon discover how important each others jobs' are and are returned to normal. "Leo, I have growing Powers inside of me - Powers that I don't understand, and the only person who does understand them never has time to talk. Piper's growing concern over her pregnancy convinces her that she needs to see a doctor. Leo is against the idea of a doctor around their magical baby. After helping a Gypsy, Ava, who is also a doctor, kill a Demon, she gets the help she needs. Ava decides to train Phoebe and Paige to be midwives but Piper, knowing that being born in the Manor could make her baby good or evil, isn't thrilled about a home-birth. | Piper is overjoyed at managing to keep down her breakfast for the first time in days but then is confronted with her fears of what her baby will be born into. Her fear is that her child will lead a miserable life with her destiny as a Witch. "Playing on an expectant mother's fears. That's a good one... But not that good." As Piper begins adjusting to her changing body, she and Leo decide they need to begin hunting for a nanny. Leo insists it to be some sort of supernatural creature, able to protect the child. After a Demon attack, a little elf with a big mouth, warns all the other nannies away from the Charmed Ones. When a Whitelighter attacks, an arrow heads for Piper's unborn child. The baby uses her Powers and projects a magical barrier. "It's not like I can call a service and ask for a nanny to watch over my little Charmed One while I go off and slay slimey Demons." - Piper "Sam, I Am" |
Through no lack of trying, Paige finally talks Piper into buying maternity clothes for her growing self. Piper is reluctant. She doesn' like the feeling of helplessness that is forced upon her by everyone she meets, and grows angrier at everyone touching her tummy. "Ok, explain to me the touching thing. Why is my stomach suddenly public property and perfect strangers are always touching me? It's weird space invasion." - Piper "Y Tu Mummy Tambien" |

Piper realises that with her pregnancy, she has been neglecting P3, and when it fails to meet a health check, closure threatens. To get Paige out of prison, Piper has to get a lease on the Manor, and they end up locked out of their home by Cole, but after a daring attempt by Phoebe, all is put right again. "I mean, I know I've been neglecting the club since I've been pregnant... But not this much!." - Piper "The Importance Of Being Phoebe" |
Eva continues to train Phoebe and Paige to be Piper's midwives, but Piper is not getting used to the practises, finding it hard to keep her balance on the Birthing Ball. She doesn't see the point to it - she's not going to have a home birth. "Hospital, people. How many times do I have to tell you crazy people? Evils vanquished in the Manor have left residual Evil behind them, which manifest into a being that enjoys tormenting Piper by moving the baby's things. When she is cursed, turning her tendancy to clean into an obsession, she realises that when her daughter is born, she will have to come to expect messes. "Yeah, well, apparently our little Ghosts and Goblins are not sleeping so how can I? I just wish they would attack us rather than move stuff around." - Piper "House Call" |

Piper begins to have heated dreams about another man: her subconscious trying to work through her insecurities of Leo only thinking of her as the woman carrying his child. Leo feels detached from the baby and in his own dreams, the baby vanishes from him. When a Sandman is killed, his sleeping dust is stolen and used against the Charmed Ones, causing Piper's dream man to come to life, and Leo becomes pregnant. They work through their issues and become closer from it. "Well, Honey. Victor arrives for the baby's birth with a new bride, who turns out to be a Demon. With the imminent birth, magic is stripped from the world, from both good and evil. Piper suffers from toxemia and is confined to bed while her sisters try to deal with the problem of the magic outage and the hoards of magical baby gifts, including a gaggle of golden geese. While alone, Piper's new step mother strikes, her goal to deliver the child and raise it to be evil. The evil is defeated, leaving no time to get to hospital. The baby wants to be born. Phoebe delivers her new nephew, and they are all shocked to find that he is a boy. "You are safe, you are loved, and you are wise." - Piper "The Day The Magic Died" |
