A tall, strikingly attractive blue-eyed natural blonde, Cameron Diaz was born on January, 30, 1972 in San Diego, California. Cameron is daughter of a Cuban-American father and an Anglo-German mother.
Cameron left home at 16 and started working as a model. She lived in such varied countries as France, Japan, Australia, Japan, Mexico, and Morocco for the next five years.
At the age of 21, she continued her career as a model of the fashin agency Elite. Elite's offices was in the same building as the casting bureau who was in charge of hiring actors and actresses for the movie The Mask. At the age of 21, she acted the female lead in The Mask. In 1994 - 1997, she acted in low budget independent films as The Last Supper(1995), Feeling Minnesota (1996), and Head Above Water (1996).
She returned to main stream films in My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), for which she won Blockbuster Entertainment in the category Best Actress. She proved her star status in 1998 for her performance in There's Something About Mary (1998), for which she won American Comedy Award 1999 in the category Funniest Leading Mistress .
She has acted Celine Naville in A Life Less Ordinary (1997), The Blonde in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), Mary Jensen Matthews in There's Something About Mary, Laura Garret in Very Bad Things, Lotte Schwarts in Being John Malkovich, Christina Piagnacci in Any Given Sunday (1999), Carol in Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her (2000), Nathalie Cook in Charlie's Angels (2000), Faith in The Invisible Cirkus (2001), Princess Fiona (voice) in Shrek (2001), Julia Gianni in Vannila Sky.
She has acted Jenny Everdeane in the movie Gangs of New York (2003), that was produced by Martin Scorsese.
Her future projects are acting Christina Walters in The Sweetest Thing (2002), acting Natalie Cook in Charlie's Angels 2 (2003), acting the voice of Princess Fiona in Shrek 2 (2004).
