The Staff of The Empire

Imperial Commando

Well, there's not much to tell. I was born four years after my brother, who turned to the light side after a serious bump on the head while playing Rebelball. I remained an Imperial and with my superior intellect and leadership skills, and on, and on, and on, I quickly rose to the top of the empire. When I was in 2nd grade, I killed my first Rebel... well, actually, I helped kill him. Well, I coaxed him into jumping... Anyway, in 8th grade, I won the "Greatest Imperial" award, usually only given to people in high, political positions, let alone kids. Following the advice of my school counselor, I skipped college, and went right into politics. From there, it was only 3 years until I became the Imperial with the highest position ever. My official job title is high, supreme emperor, of the high something or another. The Emperor, Palpa Tine, has about a room temperature IQ to put it politely, and everyone knows that. So the question I am most commonly asked is, why is he still the Emperor? Well, it's my idea that he is, and the reason why, is he's a decoy. He doesn't really make the decisions, and if the rebels kill him, big woop. Well, that's me. Not much, when you think about it.

In real life, my name is Jonah Newman and I live in Overland Park Kansas, United States. Though my readers seem to think I spend all my time working on The Empire, I don't. Those things take roughly an hour to write(I shouldn't be telling you this) and are never revised. What you see in your inbox is a rough draft. I enjoy web design, but I'm still fairly new at it. I'm learning a bit of programming in C++. I love DragonBall Z. I'm thinking of doing a weekly fan fic of that. I'd love to hear people's comments on that, though I don't think there's much overlap between the two audiences. That's really all there is to know about me.

Blue Leader

Blue Leader is my brother in real life. His real name is Patrick, but in the list he is always Blue Leader. He often does some guest writing, and sits next to me when I write issues. He offers comments and suggestions for making an issue funnier, and sometimes gives me ideas when I'm stuck. The Empire could be done without him, but it would be MUCH less original.

I decided to give him a place on The Empire for no paticular reason. Hell I already include myself, so why not? I feel that he creates a very nice balance in The Empire. A constant reminder of the war going on between the Rebels and Imperials. He is also portrayed as being very opposite of me. Humble, a good fighter, a Rebel... Say, he'd make a good Jedi...

Glen, Editor of RebelPilot

He wanted me to refer to him as Ultimate ruler of the world, but he's a Rebel, so we won't allow him that. Anyway, if it wasn't for this guy, The Empire wouldn't be here. When I came up with the idea for an Imperialistic list, I sent him an e-mail, telling him about it. If he hadn't replied, I would never have gotten around to it. But I'm not thanking him for replying. I lost access to the e-mail account I first e-mailed him from, and forgot about him. Somehow he tracked me down to my other account, and replied to that. He talked me through getting started, and about using egroups(now yahoogroups). For several weeks he continued to offer me general tips and suggestions. He reviewed my first two issues before they were published. Both of them were crap, but he was polite about it, and understood that I would get better. I even included him in a couple issues, but neither of them were very good.

SKo

SKo is one crazy character. He has never been in an issue of The Empire, but he could be. He helped pull this website out of its infancy, with several valuable tips. Thanks to him this site was given a different and much better look, including completely redesigning the logo that now says The Empire in black letters with the green glow. I hope he continues to give advice. If he doesn't I'll go over to his country and beat him up.

Bulma

And who can forget Bulma(meghan)'s incessant begging to be put on this site for no good reason. Here you are Bulma, Happy? Oh that's it, I quit.

Readers

And of COURSE, thanks to all the readers for being there. I have many readers who have been with me for a very long time, including all of the original 8 subscribers who got the very first issue. Thanks to all of you!
