 <Kebab>

It wasnt long ago I tried the first Kebab of my life in Holland. And now, in Istanbul, I feel already like I am an expert, having discovered all kinds of Kebab in the original place, Turkey.

It was altogether 5 times in three days. Lunch of the first and the second day, dinner for the second day, and two times on the last day. Each time they brought me a new style and taste of Kebab!

<Pistachio >

Pistachios (their empty shells anyway) are everywhere in Turkey! I was carrying Pistachios in my pocket already from Maastricht in case of sudden hunger. I found Pistachios fit me well to soothe my crazy, spontaneous stomach.

Even at that moment I caught a guy selling pistachios in the street, I was taking out a pistachio from the nut shell and was ready to put into my mouth. Since then, I ate a pack of pistachios each day! Turks love pistachios!

<Bir koyun cizin!>

I am collecting all different versions of Le petit prince in different languages. So far I have collected the Korean, French, English, Italian, Dutch, German and finally Turkish version! I was so crazily happy when I got my new version of the little prince! My second goal of the trip just accomplished!

<Sultanas Dinner Show>

It was such a fantastic dinner show for three whole hours. At first we paid 30 dollars each (I guess it was the cheapest price we could get) and got the best seat. (The guy in the travel agency used his secret connection to get us the best of the best seats! I didnt expect that he was that powerful!)

When we sat down at the table, a waiter came to us to ask our nationalities and brought us a Korean and Dutch flag. Each table had two flags based on the customers nationalities. So for three hours I was called 'Miss Korea'

The Belly dance performance was just wonderful. My idea wanting to learn belly dance became a lot stronger after seeing the beautiful, sexy, attractive dancing movements, even though I doubt seriously that I can dance like those charming professionals. Oriental and folklore dance performances accompanied by Turkish music was followed. And it created a visual feast, which captivated my heart. The dinner itself was also great. It was a Turkish full course dinner.

The highlight of the evening was next. The host of the night came on the stage and asked for assistance among guests for the performance. Actually he just picked up some ladies and I was one of them. It was a unique, fun experience participating to the performance. Furthermore, after that, he started to include every single guest to sing a song from their country. When it came to my turn, I was so wondering what song would be played and I got shocked. Saranghea-dangshineul, Jeongmalro-Saranghea! Ye, ye, ye ye ye ye ye----!!! It was so perfect night!

Episode 3  Since the show started at 9 they informed us to be at the hotel around 8 to be picked up, so Jelle and I came back early for taking a nap and prepare for the night. But what a shame! We set up the alarm with mobile which had Dutch, one hour later, time on it! Want to know what happened? Then use your own imagination!
