Westernport Bay

On Friday the 11th of May 2007, in conjunction with Nuclear Free Australia, Westernport Action Group presented themselves at the gate of the Sandown Park racetrack to greet attendees to the Ziggy Switkowski speech hosted by the Rotary Club. At that event, Ziggy told attendees that he could see Victoria being home to no less than eight nuclear reactors, and yes, that Westernport Bay is an ideal location for one of these reactors. This is not a direct quote but it accurately describes to topics covered at the time.

Some attendees were clearly disappointed with the presence of W.A.G. and N.F.A. and displayed their dissatisfaction with obscure hand gestures. No matter, at least some of us were out there speaking up for many Victorians dead set against nuclear power in this country.
