Every year someone from OFSTED comes to view my home to see that everything is safe and that I am doing everything I should for the children in my care. |

The visit generally lasts for about an hour and in that time she checks everything that the children will come into contact with during their day here. |
|
|
|
They checks that I have the following in place and in good working order. |
|
|
|
1. Fireguard is safe and secure. |
|
2. Fire blanket is in accessible place. |
|
3. Cupboard locks are in use and working properly. |
|
4. Safety glass in all doors. |
|
5. Cleaning fluids are locked away. |
|
6. Medicines are out of childrens reach. |
|
7. First aid kit is well stocked and maintained. |
|
8. Garden is safe and secure. |
|
9. Plenty of educational, clean and safe toys for all ages. |
|
10. Equipment is clean and in good working order. |
|
11. Stair gate is safe and secure. |
|
12. Behaviour plan is in place. |
|
13. Healthy eating plan is in place. |
|
14. Sleeping arrangements are adequate. |
|
15. Records and accident books are up to date. |
|
16. Insurance is up to date. |
|
17. Activities are planned for all ages. |
|
18. Routine e.g. school/nursery,toddler groups, park visits etc. |
|
19. Amount of children minded tallies with amount registered for. |
|
20. If there are any problems or quiries. |
|
21. Smoke alarms on all floors children have access to. |
|
|
