These are some of the comments from letters that parents have given to me
when their children were leaving my care. For obvious reasons I have left out
the names but all the other information is the exact words written by them.

1. Dawn took care of my daughter on a part time basis, during her time with
Dawn, she thoroughly enjoyed herself. Dawn saw to her every need and
played age related games and activities with her. She looked forward to going
every morning and was sometimes reluctant to come home because she was
having so much fun.

2. Dawn has looked after my daughter who is 9 months old for several
months now. I find she is a very caring person. My child is always well looked
after, she seems happy and is always kept clean. As Dawn has a child of her
own there is a happy family environment for the children in her care.

3. Dawn has had my daughter each week, as well as school holidays for the
past few months now. My daughter is more than happy to go to her house
when ever.. She is an honest, trustworthy and reliable childminder - nothing
is too much trouble for her. She is brilliant with children and has the patience
of a saint! I have no complaints about her, or her ability as a childminder, and
am sure whatever child is left in her care, would be given the same care and
attention my daughter has been given in the time she has been in her care.

4. I have found Dawn very reliable and helpful. My son is very relaxed in her
company and enjoys going to stay with her. Dawn is a very warm and caring
person and I would not hesitate to recommend her services.

5. Dear Dawn, I am writing to you to give two weeks notice for you minding
my daughter, due to our impending house move! I am sure we will see you
there at some point in the future. She will be starting her new nursery soon
and there will be some children there who are going to her school in
September. I would like to thank you for your role as her childminder over the
last 3 years. You have been reliable, trustworthy, flexible and patient! Even
through my stressful times, a couple of years ago. Good childminders are
hard to come by, as all my working friends know, and we have been very
lucky to stay with you for as long as we have. Thanks again for looking after
my daughter.

7. Dear Dawn, We found out yesterday that my husband is being made
redundant on the 4th of December. Can I work my two weeks notice from
20th November. I will need you to mind the children up to and including 4th
December (Monday) if that is okay. He is looking for work already and if he is
successful then I would hope that you could still mind the children.
Obviously, I understand that you will need to fill the vacancies that they
create, but as and when he finds a new job, I will come to you if you have
room for them. I am very sorry I have to do this before Christmas. It's
annoying as the children have settled in so well. Thank you for looking after
them so well, hopefully everything will work out well and things can go back
to normal, Many thanks.

8. To Dawn, When it came to thoughtfulness, you had that special touch...
that's why it's nice to let you know you kindness meant so much. Thanks for
everything.
