THE ROLE OF THE VOLUNTEER AT U.A.M.

U.A.M. is an institution that works with the small farmers to support the community development projects in the poorest areas of Guatemala. U.A.M. requires personnel with a strong multicultural background, and engaged along the lines of community service. The volunteer could join U.A.M. in one of the following categories:

First, as a support person for any of our programs. It is important to match the volunteer abilities and skills, with the requirements of U.A.M.

Second, we work with 2 types of volunteer placements: those who work in the communities (not in Quetzaltenango), and do an specific work for a certain period of time; and volunteers who work in Quetzaltenango's office giving support and working as a consultant for our programs.
