Plantar
Fasciitis (Heel Pain) The plantar fascia is
a thick band of connective tissue on the plantar surface
of the foot, attached to the heel, fanning towards
the toes. Pain occurs when this inflexible fascia becomes
over-stretched and pulls away or tears at its attachment
at the heel. A heel spur may form as your body responds
by repairing the damaged area with calcium deposits.

Improper alignment of the
foot may lead to problems over time with knees, hips and
back. Foot Dynamics can assist in re-aligning foot position
through custom-made orthotics and corrective footwear. |
Metatarsalgia is
a general term used to describe pain in the metatarsal
area or ball of the foot. This condition may be caused
by arthritis, trauma, hard surfaces or improper footwear.
|
 A
thickening and build up of many layers of skin on the plantar
surface of the foot. Calluses are caused by excess pressure
due to bio-mechanical fault, improper footwear and unnatural
walking surfaces. |
Bunions typically
appear as a large bump on the side of the big toe, with
widened forefoot and toe angling inwards. Pain in the region
of the first toe is a common complaint due to pressure
in the shoe and on the joint.
Bunions tend to be inherited and can be aggravated by tapered
footwear or other biomechanical irregularities.

Pedorthic management has been proven to help patients who
suffer from medical conditions such as Diabetes, Arthritis
and Fibromyalgia.

your feet, combined with proper footwear can prevent muscle
strain that could cause you injury.
