Keynes ( King, where are your people now)!!
FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
So.. who is to blame for this one? The Empire nightclub now known by me and a few others as ONE WAY OUT managed to book themselves one of the best or probably by far the KING of the bands I've seen/heard in the last decade at least.
The owner of the Empire or its promoter of this gig now known by me and a few others as BURDEN OF SHAME somehow forgot to TELL IT LIKE IT IS that our town had the pleasure of JOHNNY2BAD a tribute band for UB40 in our midst.Who knows MAYBE TOMORROW after the gig they were going to make it known..but for sure somebody truly should be saying SORRY to the class professionals they booked for THE ELEVATOR.I swear the punters could have fitted in the John Lewis elevators..well one of them.
IT DONT MAKE SENSE
Somebody needs to feel GUILTY for making us small crowd feel embarrassed for not telling the folk of Milton keynes to DROP ON BY!! but who instead must have been convinced more to KEEP ON MOVING in the opposite direction of the city centre up to the xscape and theatre district. Which is where we went after the fantastic tribute band finished and the BURDEN OF SHAME closed its bar that sold no RED RED WINE or Martini! and no pims and no ..oh I could go on. But the other end of the city clubs were heaving so badly I got quite claustrophobic a few times!
You have got to see this awesome band they played on as I expect they would have to an audience of 3000 with great energy and you could see they just loved their music and so did we! Shouting MOREEEEEEEE I am hoping they will be booked in MK again veryyyyy soon and see how we all can be a GROOVIN' KINGSTON TOWN instead of one poxy crappy club wasting talent they should have been shown to the masses instead of us looking like a GHOSTOWN (opps that one wasn't ub40) :)
One line I have to say to the Empires owner is THE WAY YOU DO THE THINGS YOU DO you will out of business within 6 months.. infact are you in business? Cos in my opinion you still have MANY RIVERS TO CROSS to have ever managed to let down Milton Keynes.
We personally didn't feel let down we were so damn lucky to have happened to decide to check out The Empire and have this band to ourselves so to speak but wouldn't it have been fantastic to have shared the night for others and for JOHNNY2BAD to have gone home after a hard day knowing that ONE IN TEN people in MK loved them to bits and decided to become groupies than a poxy idiot laying having BREAKFAST IN BED with his barmaid saying DONT BLAME ME... there was a RAT IN THE KITCHEN ...ITS TRUE!
If only the club had done their job properly you would have been heaving with the diverse culture of MK shouting I'LL BE ON MY WAY!!to see this UB40 band instead my friend (yak) whoever UB ..UB stupid!
Milton Keynes DONT BREAK MY HEART some excellent club/venue manager book this band ASAP and give them a welcome to MK they truly deserve... else next time it will another lost opportunity and they may just say IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN IM LEAVING!
CHECK IT!!CHECK THEM AND BE PROUD TO SAY WHEN YOU HAVE BOOKED THEM I GOT YOU BABE!
