Back to work
New Job.
The longest stretch of time that I have ever not worked was from being four and a half months pregnant with Janey until last month. I used to work as far up as I could into pregnancy unfortunatley with the last I had high blood pressure which caused extreme migrane and caused me to be unable to talk back in any language you would understand for half a day! That was exceptionally scarey, after reading the newspaper and thinking the editor was a nut for the way he had written things... as I continued to read I started crying saying to my husband "Pete I can't read anything" Obviously I was scared because I was wondering why I couldn't read anything properly, It wasn't until my son came in the door and I will blog that in more detail soon actually, that my communications failed. I wanted to ask him to put his shoes in the downstairs toilet as he came in..but it came out as something Alien.. you couldn't attempt to speak this language if you tried! I could understand everything being said to me as normal, and my surroundings were fully conherent to me just as they are now as I am typing this. I couldn't write anything readable. I wanted to write that I needed them to find my bra, as it was morning I was in a nightie and gown. Pulling at the clothes were not making a difference. The weird thing was when Pete asked me for my brothers phone number I could speak out the numbers but nothing that was in letters .. the brain is weird and complex is it not? Took half a day and the hospital could give me no reason.
It was then dangerous for me to then continue work as my work with the agency was based in Aylesbury and the long main road to there isn't one I would have wanted to have another one of these attacks on! Especially if I was working until 11pm! Fortunatley it did never occur again but I wasn't going to take that risk and maybe it didn't occur because I was not doing the heavy work. I was told to rest up more and the result was a lot of weight gain in the pregnancy. I had always put on weight naturally during pregnancy don't we all? Just never that much. But I am back down to nearly what I was before now.
I am doing some training for work this afternoon the hubby is taking half day so that he can pick up the children from school and look after Janey. Mandatory training that I should just take to like a duck to water with an exam afterwards. I am now a Mental Health Worker for a PJ home here in Milton Keynes for younger people who suffer early dementias, huntingdons disease, picks disease, and multiple schlerosis and other brain aquired injuries from CVA, on top of being disabled from it. I do Friday Sat and Sun nights but my body clock messes up badly for half a week and by the time it is back I have one day left before I'm back to work again.
