Dana Katherine Scully was born February 23, 1964. She has an older sister named Melissa, an older brother named William Jr., and a younger brother named Charles. Scully went from medical school, where she has a specialty in forensics, to Quantico, where she taught for two years in the FBI's training academy. From there she was assigned to work with Mulder on the X-Files. Scully was abducted during the second season, and left infertile when she was returned. She found a chip in her neck and when it was removed it gave her cancer. The disease went into remission with the implant of another chip. In the 7th season's finale, "Requiem," Scully became pregnant. It's not clear as to how, but Mulder is the father. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy, William, named after Mulder's father, during the season finale of the 8th season entitled "Existence." Mulder left shortly after William was born for reasons unknown. Since then, Scully has left The X-Files to teach at Quantico. Doggett and Reyes keep her involved in The X-files, asking for her help and advice. Scully gave her son up for adoption because she felt that she couldn't protect him from the conspiracy. She stood by Mulder's side when he was tried for murder and helped him escape for prison. They have been on the run ever since.
