11. JILL THOMPSON, Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Anthropology, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand:
Two areas of current research include the role of gathered plant foods in the diet, and taphonomic factors influencing the composition of botanical assemblages in archaeological sites. While at Otago I am continuing archaeobotanical analyses of rice-tempered ceramics form Khok Phanom Di, as well as the identification of wood charcoals and rice remains from the nearby site of Nong Nor.
