A Quick History

Southsea pier seen from the prom in a stylised shot
South parade's pier  large white hall is a distinctive landmark when it catches the sun.
The town of Southsea behind the pier is not a resort blessed with golden sand, majestic surf or a backdrop of beautiful scenery. It derives its attraction from  traditional man made seaside attractions and a fast rail link to London.
South parade pier is a stereotypical example of such an attraction. A fun fair, amusement arcade, bar, theatre, gift shop and ice cream stalls can be found along its length.
