14-Bolt Rear Disk Brakes

6/2003 - Finally got around to dumping the worthless drum brakes off the 14-Bolt rear. The brackets and instructions for this conversion are available from numerous places on the web. I used '79 3/4 ton front calipers along with '77 rotors. A Willwood proportioning valve is mounted in the passenger frame rail to adjust the brake bias.  By using all brand new hardware this upgrade was simple and the improvement in braking power was dramatic. I'll add a hydraulic line lock later for a sort of emergency brake.
