Team Reflections
The artifact I have chosen is a Project management plan and self-evaluation document addressed to the Stakeholders and others involved in the mock project. This document explains the project, which is the creation and implementation of a student degree progress tool which will allow students to check their degree status. This artifact was created on 2/19/20. The original purpose of this item was to notify the stakeholders of the progress of the project.
This article demonstrates how I can function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program's discipline. This artifact demonstrates my ability to function as a leader or team member and communicate different parts of the project to the stakeholders. I demonstrate my communication skills, and knowledge of projects in this artifact. I selected this item because it was a good example of me acting in a team setting. My understanding of the charts demonstrates this.
I learned about projects, RACI charts and GAANT charts as well as how to use MS Project. Some challenges I faced were, learning MS Project and how to use it effectively since I was new to the project concept at the time. We had to use MS Project to change the GAANT chart and make sure it all added up in the end. If I had to recreate this document, I would probably add a table of contents to make it easier to read, I would also add more detail to the sections where they are lacking. This document set me up for success in the real world by teaching me the concept of projects and how they work, are setup and implemented.
