I have chosen a mock Training Manual for G Suit™©. This training manual describes how to use G Suit™© and includes instructions and screenshots with explanations. This article was created on 2/24/17. The original purpose of this item was to display my ability to instruct others how to use an application via a training manual style instruction.
This artifact demonstrates that I can help others to understand and use this application because it explains how to use this application in an easy to understand way with screen shots to better illustrate the program. This article demonstrates my knowledge of the program, my ability to convey following company, ethical, and legal policy, and my communication skills. I chose this item because I believe it is a good example of my ability to recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles. Specifically, the setup of the document, screenshots, and legal disclaimer demonstrate these skills.
While constructing this document I learned how to better describe and instruct an inexperienced user on how to use G Suit™©. I also learned about G Suit™© myself. Some challenges I faced while creating this document were, finding a way to describe a part of the screenshot, since I didn’t have a good photo editor at the time I used MS paint and a color coordination system. If I had to recreate this document now, I would use a table of contents to give it more of a professional manual feel as well as describing things better and having better visual aids. This item set me up for success in the real world by giving me experience in trying to explain a program and how it works to people of varying levels of technical knowledge.
