Networking Report Reflections
This artifact is a networking and telecommunication report written as an IT consultant to the fictional Newton Ad Agency. It gives my recommendations about what kind of network and telecom setup they should have given their situation. The report is a Word document. It was created on 8/17/2018 for my final project of my IT-340 Networking class.
This artifact demonstrates that I can design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program's discipline by showcasing my recommendations for this problem. I take into account for many different options and make my suggestion given the situation and what I believe is best for the company. I demonstrate my knowledge of networking typology as well as means of connection. I selected this item because I believe it is a good example of my knowledge on the subject and that my recommendations are one of the best options given the circumstances of the company. In my typology section of my report I demonstrate my knowledge of networking and telecommunication.
I learned about the pros and cons of the different typologies a network could be set up as well as the limitations of the way they are connected considering cost, speed, and ease of setup. I found it hard to find examples of real-world internet service providers and the amount of data they would provide and under what terms, most needed a real company contact which I didn’t have. If I were to recreate this artifact I would do a bit more research on the amount of data needed to transfer the advertisements that the company prints, this would have given me more info and may have changed my opinion on how much bandwidth the company needs to function efficiently. This item will help me be successful in the real world by demonstrating my ability to understand networking and telecommunications in a real-world application and possible profession.
