Oh hi, are you still here? I guess that means you're virtually champing at the bit to discover a few more titillating details with regard to my life? Well, first of all, I should stress that the sentimentality displayed prominently in the content of my other pages ends here, since it would be a little silly for me to get all mushy about myself (not to mention rather conceited). Secondly, sorry to disappoint, but you won't find anything titillating after all, since I consider myself to be decidedly average.
Now would be a good time, I suppose, to move on to my interests. I enjoy doing a multitude of crafty things such as knitting, crocheting and cross-stitch. There is a link to my "Crafts" page below, where you'll see a few examples of projects I've done. Jim and I also love to travel, whenever we can afford it (which doesn't seem to be as often as we'd like ;o), and I'd originally had every intention of making a travel page, so that visitors could view various photos that we'd taken on our holidays. But alas, despite such good intentions, it's in a state of disrepair on our hard drive. Moreover, I fear it would take up more than my allotted space at Geocities, since I had a tendency to get a little scan-happy.
In addition to the aforementioned crafts and travel, I have a great love for music and have had many wonderful experiences attending various concerts, even having taken many an unforgettable "road-trip" to do so. I'm an avid reader, love to cook, and watch a wide variety of movies and TV shows. I've listed some of these interests on the aptly named "My Interests" page, linked near the bottom. They are filed under their respective sections and I have provided links to the outside Web wherever possible.

You've undoubtedly noticed from some of my other photos - providing you didn't skip directly to this page - that I use a wheelchair. That's because I was born with a disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta. That long technical term, in the most basic sense, means that I have brittle bones.
When I was a baby, the act of rolling over in bed could cause my arms or legs to fracture and as a toddler, simply lifting a glass of milk could result in a break. By the time I was twelve, I'd estimate that I'd had anywhere from 40 to 50 broken bones. For those who think that's a lot...I have what would probably be referred to as a more mild form of it! Thankfully, shortly thereafter, my hormones kicked in, causing my bones to become less fragile. If you'd like to know more about O.I., you can go to the official O.I.F. site by clicking here.
I guess I decided not go into much detail about having a disability prior to this page, because I wanted any unfamiliar visitors to get to know ME first. In fact, that's also something I prefer in "real" life--that people get to know me for who I am, instead of making judgements or assumptions based simply on what they see before them. Although O.I. is admittedly a part of my life, it certainly doesn't define who I am. Fortunately, I'm able to be quite independent and my mindset has always been to try and do whatever I want, even if I have to do it in a slightly different way.
