After he'd seen me admiring it many times in the Mary Maxim Catalogue, Jim got me this cross-stitch kit for Christmas 1994. The dimensions of the entire scene are 20"x10", so needless to say, it took quite some time to complete. However, I found it to be a creative and worthwhile diversion during those cold Canadian winter months.

This cross-stitch kit was a Christmas gift from my mom a couple years later--also ordered from Mary Maxim. I took a little creative liberty with this one, altering the original black and brown tabby, attempting to make him more resemble our cat Simon. Considering the lesser detail with this kit and its smaller 10"x10" dimensions, it was much less time-consuming!

I knit this sweater, bonnet and matching booties for Isabel, my friend Stacey's daughter when she was a baby. Stacey was kind enough to send me this picture of her little sweetie, and it was a really neat feeling to know that a baby on the other side of the world was wearing something I made!

Here is a baby sweater set that I also knit. No baby-model here, since I haven't given them away yet. I also didn't have any pictures of them, so I was forced to scan the actual items. (In pieces, in fact, since they wouldn't fit on the scanner bed. *sigh* The things I do for my homepage :o)

Here's a dog sweater that I knit as a Christmas gift a few years ago for Jim's canine "sister" (his Dad and Jeanne's dog), Mitzi. Of course she wasn't overly thrilled about wearing it, but at least we managed to get a picture of her.

This is a tablecloth I've been working on since about 1992. Originally, I had been making it to fit my mom's table, but after Jim and I got together, I had to increase both the length and the width to accommodate our table. It's crochet, and made up of about a zillion motifs about 4" in diameter that fit together in a honeycomb pattern. Needless to say, working the same seven rows repeatedly becomes rather tedious after a while. So at the rate I'm going, I ought to have it completed sometime in the next 20 years...

Many of the craft kits and supplies that I use are purchased from

Although I haven't shopped using their Online site, I've had wonderful luck with plain old mail-order.
