Alice
Even though Alice and I have not had the chance to meet
in person, we have talked on the phone and carried on an
extremely prolific correspondence. That, along with all of the
things we have in common, have made me come to consider her a
true friend. She's always there for me, listening to my incessant
whining and knowing just what to say when I need to hear it.
She's truly one of the best.

Cathy and Derrick
1989 was
definitely a good year; not only did I meet my future husband,
but one of my dearest friends as well. Cathy and I first ran into
each other at a "Doug and the Slugs" concert in July of
that year...then again in August...and finally again in
September. At that point, we decided to exchange phone numbers
and the rest, as they say, is history. Derrick came into Cathy's
life a year or so later, and their wedding ceremony in 1992, was
the most touching and beautiful that I have ever been fortunate
enough to attend. We always have a great time when the four of us
are together and have collectively been on some very interesting
adventures. When it came time for our wedding, we couldn't think
of any two people more suited to be our Matron of Honour and Best
Man!

Chris
Don't let the fact he's snoozing in this picture fool
you, this man is truly a genius!! If it weren't for Cousin Chris,
you probably wouldn't be looking at this webpage right now. Not
being extremely computer literate, I hadn't even realised that we
had a page builder right on our computer until he showed me
(doh!)--thanks Chris! He's also always been there for me whenever
I've had an inane computer-related question...or two...or
three...etc. You can go to his nifty homepage by clicking here.

Chrispy
Here's my buddy Chris - a really cool friend that I met
through my friend Deb - chillin' in his innertube. I don't know
if it has something to do with the name or not, but like cousin
Chris, he is also a computer genius who has provided me with some
invaluable assistance. Hey, even if I don't understand half of
what he tells me, it's great to know someone as smart as he is
who accepts me for the true moron that I am! ;o) You can visit
Chrispy's webpage by clicking here.

Jan
I first met Jan in 1987 when I answered a "penpals
wanted" ad in an issue of a newsletter I was receiving. I
wasn't sure how much we'd have in common, but ended up being
pleasantly surprised! She and I share a love of music, and both
feel that our lives just wouldn't be the same without it. Jim and
I were fortunate enough to finally meet her in person during our
summer vacation in 1996, and I feel that our meeting has made us
a lot closer. She is a truly wonderful friend, and even though we
talk on the phone whenever possible and write to each other, I
wish I could see her more often.

Jerome
I met Jerome sometime around 1980 and we even dated for
a short period of time when we were about 13. Although we'd lost
touch over the years, we recently renewed our friendship online.
You can click here to
see a really grainy photo of us from sometime in the late 80's.
You can also go to Jerome's homepage by clicking here ...just keep in mind that
it's still a work in progress! (and here's hopin' that he isn't
ticked by my jumping the gun and prematurely providing a link to
it ;o).

Joanne (a.k.a. Beach Bunny)
I've known Joanne and her husband Jim for my entire
life. Considering that she and my mom have been friends since
childhood, however, I'd estimate that the adorable picture above
is about 60 years out of date. They've always been such an
important part of my life and I guess I always thought of Joanne
and Jim as being like an Aunt and Uncle to me. Now that I'm older
I consider her to be not only mom's friend, but one of mine as
well. Since Joanne is also online, she and I are keeping in touch
with much more frequency, which has been just great. We even took
a cyber-holiday together during a shared period of the mid-winter
blahs. Now if only I could convince my mom to use the computer to
correspond with her more...

Maureen
I first met Maureen and her husband Mark around 1990
when she was handling the merchandising at a few concerts I
attended. She prefers to keep a low profile, so the above picture
is of her adorable Jack Russell puppy, Maggie. Because we share a
love of music, I can always count on Maureen to keep me informed
about great new bands I should be listening to. We may not see
each other often, but we do keep in touch via the phone and now
through the computer, since she's happily lost her
"dufus" status. She's a warm and generous person, and
one I'm happy to call a friend.

Rick
Rick is also another person, without whom this website
would be a lot less enjoyable. He showed me how to use the embed
code that allows music to play for those using the Netscape
browser and he's also given me lots of other help. Rixster says
that Randy and I are weird, while I say, "it takes one to
know one!" I keep telling him that he just has to learn to
accept and embrace all of his idiosyncrasies as we have with our
own. ;-) Anyway, he is a brilliant guy with a wicked sense of
humour. He's also the one responsible for Randy's fine webpage
that's linked in the family section. You can go to Rick's
Internet Advertising and Marketing page by clicking here.

Robert
Rob is another friend from school (seemingly eons ago,
now) who I lost touch with over the years, but met up with again
online. He's a great guy with a wonderfully wicked sense of
humour. There Rob...see I told you I'd be nice! ;o)

Stacey
When I was in sixth grade, my home-room teacher went on
an exchange to Australia. While there, she paired each of her
former Canadian students with an Australian penpal: Stacey and I
began our correspondence, and are still in contact over twenty
years later. Although we've never actually met, through our many
letters, I feel that we grew up together in a sense. She is a
thoughtful, giving person and I feel fortunate that we've never
lost touch with each other. Hopefully someday (like if one of us
wins the lottery) we will finally have the opportunity to meet in
person. Click here to see a photo of Stacey's daughters.

Dawn and Lesa
My newest online bud is Dawn...and I tell ya she and her
partner Lesa are incredibly cool! Besides having great taste in music, Dawn is also
a graphic artist...you can visit her webpage by clicking
here.

Donna and Greg
I met Donna and Greg through Janasta--she and Donna have
known each other since childhood. We have quite a few shared
interests, from watching The Food Network to our love of animals
and I always enjoy receiving the newsy e-mails and heart-warming
links that Donna sends. Donna and Greg met over the Internet and
got married in May of 1999. The two adorable pups pictured with
them above are their "kids" Tess and Toby. Donna and
Greg have a fantastic homepage that you can go to by clicking here.

Kathy and Troy
I met Kathy online in June of 1998 and we used to chat
for hours. Due to various computer problems she'd been having,
however, and also because we're not online as much as we used to
be, I don't get to see her as often. She and Troy met online and
have recently embarked on their new life together. She has a
truly great homepage and you can go to it by clicking here.

Nicole
Nicole is a really cool Kiwi (that means she's a nifty
New Zealander, not a frigid fruit, of course ;o) I met through my
brother Randy. Because of the strange hours he keeps and the fact
that she's about 18 hours ahead of us, he gets to chat with her
far more often than I do. However, we always find something fun
to talk about whenever we are online at the same time.
