Garden of Love - Eden
What is "Love"? I have been into discussion forums and everyone's definition of love is different. I guess the 3 quotes below sums up all that I have to say about my feelings towards love. 3 simple quotes, but not easily fulfilled.

"to love is to accept a person as he/she is"
"to love is to is to guide a person through unconditionally"
"to love is to be able to overcome obstacles together" - bOoBoO, Sept 2000

To date, I have yet to find that someone who shares the same idealogy and willing to walk down the aisle with me. But I always believe that there is a "
One" for everyone of us, so long as we choose to believe in it. Fate does play a part in bringing the right person to you, at the right place and right time. Attraction factor must be there for you to want to know that special somemore more than just a friend. And the rest lies in your hands, to get to know him better and work things out together.

I have always been mystified by greeks mythology. And over here, I will be using the suits of cups as indicated in
"The Mythic Tarot" using the love story between Eros(God of Love aka Cupid) and Psyche(a mortal) to illustrate my search for love. Life is a journey and the search for love is another part of the journey.
the wedding between Eros and Psyche
the jealous sisters
the inital meeting of Eros and Psyche
Goddness of Love - Aphrodite
Eros leaving upon knowing Psyche had broke the promise
state of permanence and ongoing contentment
Psyche, remorseful but appears tranquil
Eros rescued Psyche from the underworld and is united with Psyche
Aphrodite confronting Psyche with tasks in order to win Eros back
Psyche leaving the past behind and embarks into the underworld
Ace of Cups - We see the Goddness of Love, Aphrodite indicating the individual is ready to embark the journey of love.
Two of Cups - Portrays the initial meeting between Eros and Pscyhe, indicating the initial attraction factor in a new relationship.
Three of Cups - The wedding between Eros and Psyche spells the start or beginning of a relationship.
Four of Cups - The evil sisters whispering into Psyche's ears, says of dissatisfaction, boredom and depression within the relationship.
Five of Cups - 4 cups being spilled over, leaving 1 standing still. It indicates regrets over past actions but all is not lost yet.
Six of Cups - A time of serenity and coming making peace with the one self before embarking into the future.
Seven of Cups - We have Aphrodite giving Psyche a series of tasks which she must perform to win Eros back.
Eight of Cups - The most difficult stage of Psyche's journey towards her goal of being reunited with Eros, ie giving up hope for the future to enter the underworld (no mortal leaves the underworld alive).
Nine of Cups - Eros saved Psyche from the underworld and Aphrodite touched by them, finally gave them her blessings. .
Ten of Cups - Reunion of the lovers and ongoing contentment and permanence in the realm of the heart.

You have just read a brief story of a perfect love relationship between Eros and Psyche put to test. A relationship is put on test here with problems and difficulties. But both parties are not giving up on each other and striving to continue to work hard against the obstacles and towards their goals. They are finally being reunited and being able to attain ongoing contentment in their hearts. However, in reality, nothing is perfect and nothing is absolute. Even after trying to work out a relationship together, things might just fail. Or the love of one partner might not strong enough to go through everything in life together and one might just choose to give up totally. That is why I have used a circle shape to encompass the suits of cups. Anytime, the suits of cups might just break along the way and it is up to individuals to believe in love and be strong enough to pick up onself and embarks in the search of love all over again. Till the day, the suits of cups is able to form a circle shape firmly is the day you find your soulmate. And I await for such a day to happen to me.
Thought Of The Day: 16/12/02 - Let nature takes its own course or fight for what you want? I will choose the former ;)
