Dusty was our 'talking' Whippet. She abounded in character and intelligence and was surely a delight to have in the home. She used a deep rumbling noise from the throat to get just about everything she wanted. We called the noise 'rugga rugga' talking as that is what it sounded like. Dusty was one point short of being a champion when we withdrew her from the ring.
This little girl, when mated to Ch DeGratton Mischief, (her only litter) gave us one of our top winning dogs, Ch Smithvale Galaxy. From the same litter she also produced Ch Smithvale Gallery. It was through Mischief that we obtained some lovely old bloodlines including Ch (Eng) Towercrest Flarepath Taurus, Flarepath Aquaria, whose dam was Ch Ravensdowne Astri. |
