ALEX WALKINSHAW
plays PC Dale Smith
DOB: 5th of October 1975
Originally from Essex.
As you'll have noticed from The Bill (well I certainly did) Alex Walkinshaw is a brilliant actor. From the contact he's had with forum through Esther (like thanking the well wishers after his birthday) he sounds like a nice bloke! Pics I've seen of him not as Smiffy have featured a broad smile that Smiffy might feature a little less often ;o)
If you want to email Alex try Smiffy's profile at www.thebill.com which includes an email the cast facility.
Before Alex played Smiffy on The Bill he played the role of DS Small in 'McCullum', he was a good sort of detective if not as impressive as Smiffy and Alex played the role well.
PC Dale Smith wasn't Alex's first role on The Bill, between the ages of fourteen and sixteen he plaued three other roles on the show, in each case his character was arrested!
Other acting roles include: an extra on Grangehill, the Butler in the Almeida production of 'Judas Kiss' both in the West End and on Broadway (anyone see it? we've been told he got kitless!), the Persil washing powder add (not seen in Australia :o( ), and a role in 'The Pig Boy' for the BBC (anyone know who he played? I haven't seen this).
