Bud & Clover's Big Phoenix Adventure -
WRLF 2007 Phoenix, Arizona.Tired of the snow up north, Bud & Clover jumped at the chance to hop a plane and make like a snow goose for the warmer temperatures of Phoenix, Arizona to attend 2007 Western Regional Leaders Forum.
The reception was wonderful and colorful, lots of music and dance and food of a southwest flavor, beginning with the "Mariachi Viva" dance troupe and later, a Native American lunch buffet.
You know me, I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting my picture taken, and as luck would have it, I was even able to talk this lovely young senorita into posing in one with me!
Man, I still can't get over how warm and friendly these Arizonians actually were!
One of my very favorite parts of the conference is the open Commercial exhibits, and dang if our very own Mrs. Salmon didn't end up stopping by to not only talk up our fair town but also remind the locals how beautiful Idaho is as well!
There was certainly plenty to do at the conference... like offsite fishin', tradin' pins, attend workshops & exhibits, listen to guest speakers, and so forth, but one really had to be on their toes! I sat down for what I had thought would be a quickie cat-nap next to this table vase and dang if I didn't almost end up bought & sold in a silent auction by mistake!!!
Across the way from where we were staying, was a horse training seminar going on in which Diane (Susan's friend) and Bud Bear dragged me off to. The techniques used by these trainers proved to be quite interesting!
Can't wait until WRLF 2008 as it's due to be held right in our own back yard, Boise!!!
